Medical Cost Sharing: Powered by Sedera

Meet Sedera Health

Scoop Health is powered by Sedera a medical cost sharing community.  Together we are leveraging the general acceptance of sharing as a business, like: Uber, GoFundMe or KickStarter.  We offer cost sharing membership in a no-insurance community centered on a commitment to healthy living and sharing the cost of each others medical care.
That’s how Scoop Health members and families get easy access to quality healthcare at affordable prices. And, while Sedera is built on Christian principles, our members do not have to be affiliated with a religious group – everyone is welcome.

A New Approach to Benefits

Scoop Health offers new approach to employer health benefits.

Its more affordable because we invite members to be active and engaged participants in their healthcare. We encourage them to commit to pursuing a healthy lifestyle. Together, we are building a new kind of community, one centered on healthy living and sharing the cost of medical care. In doing so, we are able to provide a high-end healthcare experience, delivering tremendous value for your employees and their families.

How It Works

Members contribute a fixed amount per month to participate in the sharing community. When a member has a medical need, the Sedera community steps in to ensure the need is met.  A “Need” is one or more medical expenses caused by an accident or illness.

Members first meet an initial unshareable amount (IUA) as low as $500 according to their membership selection. After an individual’s 3rd medical need, (5th need when a family is participating) all costs are fully shared among the community.

Why It’s Better

The medical cost sharing industry is growing quickly, with one million members nationwide accessing over one billion dollars in sharing. Sedera members reduce medical costs through smart choices, exercise and lifestyle. Through honoring these practices and through proven provider negotiations, our cost sharing model provides members with high-end services while lowering monthly expenses and out-of-pocket costs.

Members have the freedom to choose their own doctor, visit well-regarded medical providers and typically still see that the total cost of healthcare is 40-60% less than health insurance.
